The Artist
Mindy Gersenfish Turk
Making jewelry is very gratifying and therapeutic for me. Over the last 27 years my work has been featured in many galleries and boutiques, juried art shows, private parties, corporate events, and charity benefits. I enjoy donating my pieces to local charities. My love for making jewelry stemmed from facing a long-term challenging illness. I have taught classes in wire wrapping, silk knotting, and jewelry design to local Girl Scout troops, veterans, and children and adults with disabilities. I have made fashion jewelry, bridal jewelry, and hair accessories for over 27 years. I love working with people to personalize designs for special occasions and everyday life. I use 14k gold-filled, sterling silver, and silk threads combined with freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, and vintage finds to create limited-edition pieces and one-of-a-kind treasures.
